Alrighty folks, another painter and myself are starting a charity drive to sponsor a child through Compassion.com We are taking it in turns to auction off a model or unit on eBay, with the proceeds going to cover the sponsorship cost, then associated fees, then any left-over going into a pool to cover other sponsorship costs if we have a bad auction. Anyhow, I volunteered to go first, so here it is.

Does anyone have any Dark Eldar Scourge feather wings they want to swap for the bat wings? I'm making a themed army and would prefer them all to have feathers! (Will post photos once I've started painting)

Just been wondering if anybody thinks that the 5th edition wound allocation is distinctly cheddar?
I've just done a post about it on my blog Grey Knights of Titan and I'd really appreciate any feedbak from you guys either on here or on the blog as I've always thought of myself as a 'fluff' player instead of a cheese monster but when your only running Paladins you need to make them a bit more survivable...

 Ok so having bought Black Reach, I found myself inundated with Orks and with a strong desire to purchase more having enjoyed painting them. I have been buying models that I like and now have a fairly decent sized army, however I would like to try and assemble it into some semblance of a playable list. Thus far the list I've got is this (units marked with an * are ones that I have yet to purchase). I'm looking at about 1500 points.

As well as the list I also have a looted Wagon with ardcase and boomgun, but I don't really know how best to integrate this.

I would quite like some constructive comments and criticism on this list.

Didn't update yesterday on my new obsession with painting and the manic results...

Thursday: Finished a Chaos Vindicator in Khorne colors that will be used in My World Eaters and or Blood Knights (Chaos-ified Blood Angels if I do them) armies.

Friday: finished -3- (whiskey tango foxtrot?) Chaos Rhinos for my Death Guard army. I also did a little bit of terrain modeling to help Doshu with a "Wierding Well" terrain piece for Fantasy (unpictured).

went to GW yesterday... Sat down a like 1pm and started on a Daemon Prince for my World Eaters army (Khorne Chaos Marines)... Model done at 6pm...

trying to get a picture.. and I remembered why I have so few pictures of my models... they're either too dark to make out without flash, or washed out by said flash...




UPDATE: Got some better pictures today under better lighting and finished a Nurgle Prince. And by "Finished" I mean "From Start to Finish in 4 hours".

There are times that I seriously scare myself at how fast I paint something to a (fairly) high standard. I mean yeah, I'm not going to win any Golden Demons or anything (and I honestly don't know that I care to - I paint for me more than anything else), but I like to think that (most of) my models are a pretty good table top standard.

well two weeks ago i was astounded at my folly of adding more things to my painting list when i already had a huge back-log of DA to finish...here's how it went:

in the last week and half, or so, i've managed to finish painting:

1 daemonhunter inquisitor
9 sisters of battle
1 black templar captain
1 black templar emperor's champion
1 deathwing captain
1 dark angels azrael chapter master w/helmet minion
1 dark angels company captain
1 dark angels ezekiel librarian
1 chaplain with jump-pack
4 masters of the chapter space marine commanders
15 2nd edition cadians (the metal ones)
6 cadian kasrkin (the new stormtrooper ones)

i also primed and assembled my three armoured sentinels...now i just need to paint them.

also, i primed my nephew's necrons and now all he has to do is assemble them (though i'll have to assemble the necron lord cuz it deals with super glue).

i got so much done...but i'm still not done. the 60 or so dark angels are still glaring at me in the back-log. i may not finish painting the sentinels in time before i go back to work monday (schools should have 3 weeks off for christmas...but since i love money, we'll be happy at two weeks off). i also have the unopened box of dark angels ravenwing gnawing at my thoughts. gah...

it never ends...

i'm glad i have gotten back into my painting and hobby-craft...but now this year, i vow to get back into the gaming saddle. with a more buffed-out army my IG should be able to take more down with them before we get annihilated as usual...lol.

that's my update on my mole hill...how's everyone else's turning out?
