How many of you guys use the Barracuda and how is it working out for you?
In case you're wondering: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/TAU-BARRACUDA.html

The Tau Heavy Support slot is already crowded with juicy choices, but since I have it I feel like I ought to use it.

I am a huge fan of the Sky Ray, Hammerhead and XV-88s, so I’m not sure what I could want to drop in favour of the Barracuda.

The Sky Ray gives me some extra marker lights and those wonderful seeker missiles.
The Hammerhead obviously gives us a relatively mobile railgun that can also blast away pesky Eldar/IG with pie plates.
XV-88s we all know and love, but they aren’t exactly very mobile…

The Barracuda gives us 3 S7 AP3 shots, 6 S5 AP5 shots, 2 S7 AP4 shots and can be upgraded with 4 seeker missiles.
I suspect I’ll give it a go instead of my sky ray soon, but what do you guys think?

The rules are in IA3: The Taros Campaign.

And yes, I know that this edition of 40k was perhaps not designed with flyer rules in mind, but they are here so I want to use it...

[H] Scratch built Ork Skullhamma Battle Fortress (unfinished) [W] Cash [UK]

Shipping from UK: Don’t mind shipping international as long as you’re happy to pay the shipping fees.

I Want: A lot of things, but money will have to suffice here.

I Have:

Looking to sell my UNFINISHED project to scratchbuild/kitbash a Skullhamma Battle Fortress as found in the core Apocalypse rulebook.

I'm not an Ork player but I started building it years ago as a present for someone I used to be friends with. He hates me now for reasons I won't go into, and I'm never going to get round to finishing it. I thought it best to sell it off for someone else to give it the care and attention it needs to be ready to crush those squishy pink 'umies into pulp.

Photos can be found in my Photobucket account here. Click on the photos for a large view, and then again for an even larger view:

Alrighty folks, another painter and myself are starting a charity drive to sponsor a child through Compassion.com We are taking it in turns to auction off a model or unit on eBay, with the proceeds going to cover the sponsorship cost, then associated fees, then any left-over going into a pool to cover other sponsorship costs if we have a bad auction. Anyhow, I volunteered to go first, so here it is.

Hi guys,

I'm selling part of my vast collection of Necrons, and was wondering if anyone might be interested in buying some 2nd hand 'crons.

In this sale I'm including the Tripod and Pylon models some of you might remember, amongst many other things.

Anyone interested and I'll list in more detail?

I'm based in London in the UK if anyone wanted to collect.

Does anyone have any Dark Eldar Scourge feather wings they want to swap for the bat wings? I'm making a themed army and would prefer them all to have feathers! (Will post photos once I've started painting)

Just been wondering if anybody thinks that the 5th edition wound allocation is distinctly cheddar?
I've just done a post about it on my blog Grey Knights of Titan and I'd really appreciate any feedbak from you guys either on here or on the blog as I've always thought of myself as a 'fluff' player instead of a cheese monster but when your only running Paladins you need to make them a bit more survivable...

Ok so having bought Black Reach, I found myself inundated with Orks and with a strong desire to purchase more having enjoyed painting them. I have been buying models that I like and now have a fairly decent sized army, however I would like to try and assemble it into some semblance of a playable list. Thus far the list I've got is this (units marked with an * are ones that I have yet to purchase). I'm looking at about 1500 points.

Army ListCollapse )

As well as the list I also have a looted Wagon with ardcase and boomgun, but I don't really know how best to integrate this.
